I know I need marketing materials but I don’t know where to begin!  Should I wait until I decide before I contact you?

Please don’t! Most people (myself included) procrastinate when it comes to developing promotional materials for our own business.  The reasons are many – we’re too busy with day to day operations; we don’t have the money or are afraid to spend it; it’s difficult to talk about ourselves, we don’t know what we need or what is most effective; the list goes on.

LBP will help you make the first step.  We can meet for a FREE consultation to see what materials you already have and discuss your goals.  From there, if you need a full marketing plan, LBP can refer you to a colleague.  Otherwise, we’ll get to work on whatever you choose – a website, a brochure, direct mail, etc.

Do you do websites?

Yes.  LBP works with a terrific e-business consultant to help you develop a plan to establish a profitable web presence no matter what your budget.  LBP works with you on the content.

If you already have a website, LBP can help you refresh or refine your copy.

Do you write newsletters?

Yes.  Little Black Pen can develop content and write newsletters for print and web with whatever requency you need – once, monthly, quarterly, etc.  LBP also knows a number of fantastic designers and printers and can offer full project management.

What is ghostwriting?

Ghostwriters usually write books or magazine articles that are attributed to other authors. For example, various professionals – financial planners, doctors, lawyers, business people – use publishing as a very effective marketing tool to increase their visibility and enhance credibility.

But isn’t that dishonest?  Why don’t they write books/articles themselves?

The practice is entirely ethical because the work is representative of the person’s expertise and beliefs.  Many professionals hire ghostwriters because they don’t have the time and may not have the ability to write materials that will effectively reach their desired audience.

What kind of marketing materials does a company need?

That all depends on your business.  Pretty much everyone should have a web presence  and update at least parts of it every few months. Most businesses use some form of written communication such as letters, brochures, catalogs, postcards and advertisements to reach current and potential clients.

Contact us for more information or to arrange a meeting to discuss ways that Little Black Pen can take your written communication to the next level.
